Education

The quality of the schools and education is a high priority in Montgomery County and has a large and very successful school district.

Schools in the Montgomery Independent School District, feature low student-teacher ratios, programs for gifted students, as well as those with special needs, vocational education, and comprehensive advanced science programs. South Montgomery County shares several private schools with the Conroe Independent School District.

The University Center located adjacent to the Montgomery College campus, The University Center is a partnership of six Texas Universities including; Texas A& M, The University of Houston-Downtown, Sam Houston State University and Texas Southern University along with the North Harris Montgomery College District. The center offers courses allowing students to earn a bachelors or masters degree in specific fields.

Montgomery College - is the fourth college in the North Harris Montgomery Community College District. The campus is located on College Park Drive just west of I-45, for easy access to area residents. It offers Associate Degree programs, continuing education for adults, corporate training and GED preparation courses.
